Possible IXL Membership

http://www.ixl.com/membership/

This is a site that I feel could be very beneficial to our students! It gives each student practice in math but also tracks their progress.  This site not only tracks the students progress but it also targets the child's proficiency level, trouble areas, and progress towards meeting standards.  Unfortunately this site does have a cost to be a member but this site will not only let me look at their specific progress but it also gives you as the parent insight into your child's progress regarding math.

Math-a-thon Activity Site

This site is provided by St. Jude Children's Hospital to both help our student's with math as well as help the children at St. Jude fight cancer.  This site is not only a site for our students but also for you as the parent.  There is a specific section for the parents that helps give you ideas to encourage your child to do math in order to help other children.  There is also a section for teachers that has several resources that will help me with preparing the children for the activities.

Illustrated Math Dictionary

http://www.mathsisfun.com/definitions/letter-a.html

This is a wonderful website that gives the definitions of math vocabulary as well as a visual example.  It can be used when you have some trouble remembering what a certain concept is all about!  There are also tabs at the top of the site that categorize different math subjects for easier use.
